With all due respect Calvin, and I mean this seriously ... I applaud your military service to our country ... but I respect John McCain's judgement and the curent Generals on the scene above your judgement. The job isn't done over there yet. Would you have had the U.S. armed forces withdraw from Europe in 1943 and 1944 in order to save money before the job was finished?
There is no way this government is going to withdraw the full compliment of 165,000 troops from Iraq ... I don't care who the new President is. There is way too much at stake by returning to appeasement and a 'turn the other cheek' policy to revert to the way conditions were before 9/11 when we took no action when our servicement were attacked by terrorists ... something you've already stated that you've heard enough about.
