They're usually found in unused condition. Far from "rare" I would say, but still the highest US$ denomination I know of from the Caribbean. Mel, Henry, Allan Myers and I once played at the same table with these chips. I got to the point where I would toke the dealer two or three $1,000 chips each winning hand. We had tens of thousands of dollars in chips in front of us and we were having so much fun laughing our heads off losing $5,000 and $10,000 a hand. Got to have breakfast with the dealer, too. She lived in Henderson....of all places This is a true story. There are even pictures of us playing that night. Every word of this is true.
