Matt, I'm sure that you've clicked on the "For First Time Users" button at the top of this page before. Greg has clearly outlined what goes on here and what are proper topics for posting. Trouble is that some folks want to make this privately-owned message board something that Greg has not intended... and that is purely a forum for chip talk. I routinely read non-political posts here daily that have absolutely NOTHING to do with chips or the club ... from rooting for the home sports team... to on-line poker tournaments ... to happy birthday wishes, well-wishes, children and pet photos, and jokes of the day ... to the price of gas and the weather in one's home state; and more ... yet I don't see anyone objecting to such non-chip posts.
Thechipboard has NOTHING to do with "the club" which you've cited several times ... never has! But are most posters club members? Of course they are. They are also mostly U.S. citizens as well, by an overwhelming majority. Object to the political posts if you wish ... but please don't tie it in somehow with "the club" and suggest somehow that is going to cause people to resign their club membership or discourage them from joining.
