The buyers believe that they are buying antique poker chips. I know. I've talked to many of the buyers. To a one they regret their purchase.

If the seller said that they are recently created chips made from ivory blanks I would have no problem. Unfortunately the duped buyers turn around and pawn them off on other collectors.

As recently recreations, they are pretty. As antique gambling chips they are junk. Of course he doesn't say they are genuine ivory gambling chips. However what he does say is enough to lead the unsupectinbg buyer to believe they are antique.

Maybe if you were a collector of real antique ivory chips you too would be upset at someone flooding the hobb with recreations (or junk as I prefer to call it)
