Exactly Leonidas, and for all the reasons you mentioned. There are collectors who don't collect chips with a face value measured in dollar amounts, they only collect fractional values of a dollar. Exchange rates go out the window when talking lower denomination casino chips, even dollar chips. One would get laughed out of any forum if they offered to trade a $5 new LE for twenty 25 cent chips. If you want to trade $5 chips, expect to trade FOR $5 chips (assuming we are talking new or currrent issues, or chips of a similar collectible value.)
