I think maybe some are finally getting the message. The "Rarity Index" is down to 54 today..... the lowest it has been in quite some time.

Today's "rare" absurdity .... comes from a well known Ebay seller .... who should know better. Click on the link below and tell me if anyone "out there" agrees that this is a "rare" chip..... and if so, WHY?

The opening bid at $1 is fair enough .... but why the "rare" tag? Does the seller think this will sell the chip better than if the "R" word was not used at all.

I had an interesting dream last night. I dreamt that at a dealer's table at Tropicana next month, there were 25-30 chippers lined up in front of Dealer "A's" show case, where this Landmark NCV chip was prominently displayed, housed in a 2x2 flip, marked "RARE" in yellow highlighted marker ... priced $1! The assembled chippers were all slapping each other on the back and laughing their collective as..s off, guffawing away, while the dealer was sheepishly attempting to cover the chip up with something else.

Wouldn't it be neat if the Vegas seller of this chip currently being offered on Ebay could look into his monitor everytime a potential bidder clicks onto item #360536947 and observes the same laughter and giggles coming from viewers of his Ebay chip? It's got to make one wonder why someone would potentially risk their reputation for a lousy buck (in my opinion).
