Here then are the full details of this contest...
What is actually going on here is that a work crew at the South Point is moving the Benny Binion statute into it's new home. Out of sight from the pigeons (the flying ones anyway) the statue, once located Downtown, has been given a new home by South Point owner Michael Gaughan.
I captured this photo (late night (disregard the date/time)) as it was being moved through the casino to where it is now located, just beyond the slot club booth and cafe, approaching the hotel towers and I believe the Convention area esculators.
But this is a caption naming contest, the details of which I will post later. Those details will include who the judge is, what the prize is and when the contest closes. However, I've posted the picture now so that we can get started, but this rule is in effect.... Start your caption in the Subject line. If you need more space, then continue in the Message: box.
I ask this as it makes it easier for the judge to review all the entries. While I'll not disqualify your response, the judge has the option of ignoring it or not.
While I believe that Membership has it's advantage, as the Membership Recruitment Committee Chairman I am am always looking for non-members to come forward and consider membership. Therefore, this contest is open to all.
Please be creative, and while the photo is a little dark, we are looking at the horse seeing it's head, not it's tail!!
The selected winner will pick the chip of his/her choice from the six chips shown below:
In keeping with the general theme of this contest, the deadline for submissions will be 3:10 pm, Yuma time (also Tucson time) Friday, 17 October, 2008. Note: ChipBoard time is Yuma time + 2 hours!!!
I wish to thank the lovely Tammy Lynch for accepting my invitation to be the judge of this Caption Naming Contest. The winner will be selected and announced by Tammy after the close of the contest, probably on Saturday.
Thanks Tammy and your reward will be to have second selection of one of the imaged chips above, after one is selected by the winner!
Multiple entries are permitted.
Thanks for looking! (And playing!!!)
Jim
