I think you are wrong Archie. They said the same thing about video machines.

The only virtual chips that I am aware of were the entirely virtual poker tables that were tried about 1995. No chips, dealers, or cards. They worked well but poker was not ready for them. With Paradise Poker on the web spreading 20 plus games a day, I think poker is about ready to try again.
I think you are thinking of the Safe Jack chips tried out at Bally's a few years ago. They were real chips with a computer chip built in. Not in LV at this time but I hear they are going strong in Europe.
