I never had or never would complain about the convention. I just thought it unfair that Jeff was jumped on for something not that so dissimilar than what Steve proposed. I thought it inconsistant to praise one and rang on the other.

Now I do support Steve. I have nothing but support for Steve and the convention. I happen to also support what Jeff said. If others didn't support Jeff, that would also be fine. But using freedom of speech as a reason not to support Jeff I found hypocritical. I didn't sign either "pledge". That's another issue.

I must say that I used Archie's quote but Archie did not sign the pledge -- no hypocrisy there.

In Steve's case, all he gotwas support. Others just didn't post. In Jeff's case, in got a little support but then received so much heat, any other possible supporters were frightened off. I bet he would have received more support if the no supporters chose not to post.

Steve, I hope you see that I was using your pledge only to make a point. Nothing but praise for you.
