and I do not understand why you would think that. You gave an opinion and that is fine. I just thought the line about who is going to pay for it was negative and,even though you may disagree with the idea,it could have still been presented in a positive way as in your first post. That's all. I said that I would if that was going to be a problem(paying for it),that I would pay from my own pocket.
I understand that this is a casino chip/token/memorabilia collector's club. I also know that many members put out great personal chips and thought that it might be a good idea to have a special award to the nicest(as voted upon by member's)personal chip out there. That's all. Thought that it might be fun and constructive and a positive thing. It could be given out at the "pre banquet" or at the actual banquet and I do not think of this as detrimental to any of the assorted COTY awards.
As for "that Canadian guy"...well Archie,I have been posting like this for months now so what is the issue with that? Is there a new rule in place that says I cannot tell people where I am from now? At the convention,when several members met me they referred to me as "that Canadian guy"...so???
As for bringing this up to the board members,I already have emailed Jim about this and volunteered to help in any way,so I have no idea as to why you are getting defensive about this.
This post was not meant to be the cause of any argument at all,so please do not turn it into one.
Since no one has even responded to this suggestion,I assume that no one wants this anyway, so I guess that we can just get on to the next subject.
