Re: "Paul Newman dies at 83"
He was my hero. My parents would send us to the movies, which in those days was a great babysitter. They had double features, cartoons, news and previews. Going to the movies took a good 4 to 5 hours. I was 8, and seeing Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, didn't understand any of it, but thought that man was the best looking man I ever saw. Loved those gorgeous eyes. He was my favorite from that day on. Never missed one of his movies. Never thought he would ever be more than an actor, but my gawd, what that man gave. What a great guy. I will miss him. He made the world a better place.
