Re: How does a "subchapter" happen?

CCGTCC Chapters don't "just happen". It takes alot of preparation and groundwork beforehand by a few local collectors in your area to start up such a group. Below is a link to a list of all the chapters who are currently associated with CCGTCC. When you get to that page, simply click on "Chapters". You may want to email some of the contacts who are listed for existing chapters for ideas or suggestions. One thing I would strongly urge is to contact Club Membership Officer, Jim Steffner and request a set of mailing labels for current CCGTCC members who live in the geographical area that your proposed chapter will cover. There is a small charge for this service, but well worth it and it will save alot of research on your part. In the club C&BL's (also published on the club's website) you'll find additional information on Chapter organziation. Good luck with your recruitment efforts. Remember, somebody has to take the bull by the horns and do the bulk of the work. Find three or four individuals who wish to serve as temporary Chapter officers until an official election can take place. Archie
