I'll be very brief, Duke.

On page 109 of "Antique Gambling Chips - Revised Edition," the author tells us that more than 95% of all known ivory chip designs were manufactured in NYC between 1860 and 1910...and in general, ivory chips made in the 1860s thru 1880s were more intricately designed than those made between 1890 and 1910. The "wide rim" means nothing regarding being common or uncommon. My stress of such is because the "Tiger" chips known are of the narrow rim with only four in my find that were shaded and having a wide rim...and two of them are cracked. The chip is well known by ivory collectors as being very desirable.
