It looks to me like chip values for better Vegas chips are quite strong lately. I have seen chips I purchased a year ago sell for 25-50% more than what I paid for them last year (we are talking ebay sales here). I watch hundreds of auctions.....these are most definitely NOT good days for bargain hunters. Chip guide values are still high (hopefully this will soon be remidied) but not to the extent they were 18 months ago.
Just wondering out loud......so who has been bidding up all these chips? I don't think there has been a huge uptick in memberships to the club. I have no evidence to prove it, but I am guessing some of the LE collectors have started to focus on obsolete Vegas. It does not look to be just a few buyers gobbling all the good stuff up.
I'd be interested in hearing other members opinions....
