I understand how the Holocaust can still resonate with people 60+ years later. The genocide of the Native American still resonates too, especially with those of us who have found out that our great great grandparents were taken from their Sioux families in North Dakota as children and relocated to Ohio with white parents for "reculturing". Am I allowed to make a satanic reference to a fellow club member who shows a "Cowboys and Indians" cartoon? I'll bet I wouldn't get away with that.

I certainly think Dave could have thought better about his posts and probably shouldn't have posted that picture. However, I stand by my belief that the comment to Dave was WAY out of line. It definitely was more so than the political statement made by the picture he posted. In fact, the Bush-Hitler comparison is quite a common comparison and discussion. Don't believe me? Google "comparison of Bush to Hitler" and see how many links you get discussing the topic. I'll save you the trouble. It is 22.1 MILLION.

I will agree with your dislike of "namecalling, insults, blame and downright stupidity ". It would be nice if we could avoid politics on the board if we can't behave.
