Good eBay rule change for multi-quantity BIN sales

I posted this below in someone else's thread, but in case you missed it, I am putting it here too.

If you want to sell a lot of the same chip on eBay, there is one good thing for you in their new rules concerning Buy-It-Now (a/k/a Fixed Price) sales. You might consider using it now.

(Unfortunately, the Final Value Percent Fee has been increased for Buy-It-Now (Fixed Price) sales -- the fee went from 8.75% to now 12%, for sales under $50.00. The regular auction fee is still 8.75% for sales under $25.00, even for auctions combined with Buy-It-Now in the same listing.)

But the good news is that the Insertion (Listing) Fee has been greatly reduced for Buy-It-Now (Fixed Price) listings. ... ... .... In the past if you had a multi-quantity Buy-It-Now listing, you (a) had to somehow (I forget exactly how) total up the gross value of all the items you were offering, and pay a hefty listing fee on that total, and (2) you could only list it for 7 days (or 10 days at a higher fee). ... .. .... Now if you have a multi-quantity Buy-It-Now listing, (a) you pay only a $0.35 listing fee regardless of the Buy-It-Now price of each item and regardless of the number of items offered, and (b) you can list it for 30 days at no extra charge!

For example, if you want to sell 100 of the same chip, you can do a Buy-It-Now (Fixed Price) listing for all 100 chips at $10 each, and run it for 30 days -- for only a $0.35 listing fee. Even if they are bought one or a few at a time, the listing remains for the entire 30 days (or until all are sold). Pretty good, eh?, especially for low-priced chips. Not so bad either for a high-priced chip: list one chip at a high price in a Fixed Price offering for just $0.35 for 30 days, paying no reserve even; if it doesn't sell, think of it as advertising.
