If the only way to sell on ebay is to use a merchant account paypal then to sell a small item it is going to cost the seller about 20%. 10% goes for ebay listing and final fees and 10% goes to paypal for the merchant fees. Needless to say that unless it gets to be common practice for buyers to pay those fees I won't be selling any inexpensive chips on ebay any more I think ebay has finally cut its own throat as far as individual sellers go. The big merchant sellers will continue as before since they already pay those fees. Of course it will really all come crashing down when ebay gets smart and charges their fees on the shipping also. Then you won't see items like the box of padded envelopes that was posted here last week for $3.95 with $16 shipping cost.
