While we are a large Metropolis, Houston is still very much an Oil Town and when oil prices are up, business is booming.

Right now (And for the past 5 years) Engineering is the field to be in. Wages have gone crazy and I just heard the numbers for the package on the work we just got in California. They are paying people $175 a day per diem + 15% uplift, + Completion Bonus + Safey Bonus + All the OT you want......

Of cource when the industry turns to a downswing (Which it always does) things wont be quite as nice.

Then I may just be looking to rent out that extra few rooms.......
