I believe this chip to be from KC. There was a joint there in the 1930's called "Lido Recreation". Lots of gambling. There is also an encased penny from this place with the slogan: "Racing results by direct wire". This makes me think it was a bookie joint. There were hundreds of places called "Recreation" during the 1920's & 30's throughout the country. I've started a list of them by city & state. LMK if you would be interested in a copy.

Does anyone have a chip with the word "recreation" on it? If anyone has that encased penny I would pay top dollar for it!
