Three points probably wouldn't make much difference. But over a season of games, running up the scores can add up to an advantage in the choices. This is the USA. High scores impress, like it or not. Probably one of the reasons that soccer hasn't made it bigger here. Make a soccer goal worth seven and penalty kicks worth three and it might be more popular.
As I say, I don't really have an opinion about the SEC (I guess that's what it is) games, since I don't particularly follow those games. I have about all Jan can handle just following the teams I support!
