I've tried the scanner, Terry, but it didn't go well at all
.
The first problem was laying them on the glass. It was like trying to tuck in a 3-year old who doesn't want to go to bed! lol! (Which I just did, so I KNOW what I'm talking about...) Anyway, the glass swizzles have either a "spoon" or a ball/knob on the end. The ones with the knob/ball want to roll out of position, the ones with the 'spoon' will lay still...but the printing usually isn't at the right angle
.
My best guess on the glass swizzles is circa 1939...so I wasn't about to risk damage by closing the scanner lid over them. I tried laying a towel over them...it wasn't pretty .
Taking them outside is a good idea. I'll try it, thanks!
I think this is one of the first pictures I took of them , as I said, I Just figured out that the ones with the white imprint need to be on a dark background!
