Re: Bob, My daughter who is attending Tulane Law

Bet the farm that the University sent everyone home or away because the Governor told them to. Part of the sanctioning body's press release concerning the cancellation of the race I was going to work included statements from the Governor's office concerning similar announcements about LSU and their hosting a home football game this weekend.

The airlines are charging ridiculous short notice fares because they can, after hitting people with canceled reservations with a $150 change fee (me) for future flights. What was a very expensive round trip coach ticket for a relatively close destination ($465), is now that ticket minus a $150 change fee. It didn't cost me anything to cancel my hotel and rental car reservations, but another bet the farm wager, this premature action by the state cost both of those entities a huge amount of income.

Given your experience with your daughter and Tulane being completed today, I want to see the Louisiana State Government follow through with hundreds of school buses hitting low income neighborhoods, forcing those people onto the buses and getting them out of there now. No waiting until Monday or Tuesday. If that doesn't happen, this is a purely political move, a move that has cost me more than a week's wages, and my hit pales in comparison to that of others.
