Shedding any unneeded body fat is a step in the right direction for anyone... as is eliminating the use of alcohol, tobaco and sedatives; along with sleeping on one's side and regularizing sleep hours.

I lost an unneeded 12 pounds of fat in the last 6 months and back to where I should be... and all I did was increase my daily walking along with cutting down on pasta to once a week and no sweets, whatsover.
I kicked smoking in 1991, and have a Miller-Lite once in a while. Otherwise, I eat like it's going out of style, but I burn, burn and burn most of the day in the garden.
Correct body weight is everything.
