I have paid anywhere from $.10 to $2.00, depending on the condition of the chip and whether I liked the chip. This is about as unscientific as you can get. I have also picked up chips that were unknown to the seller and that I had attributed to a particular casino, for $3-$5. There are probably plenty of other opinions on what to pay, but that's mine, for what its worth.
