Below is a very informative post made to the rec.gambling.poker newsgroup by Michael O'Malley of Hustler Casino. He also mentions Robert Turner who is a Host at Hustler. Robert is a great guy & I have known him for a few years now, he REALLY will make the games interesting! Andy - Las Vegas
It's official. Hustler Casino will be opening to the public on Thursday, June
22nd @ 7:30 p.m. There is a VIP opening from 5:30 - 7:30, and as much as I
would like to invite you all to attend, the invitation list never actually
passed through the casino, it came straight out of the "other" office. This is
a "VIP" opening. Celebrities, government officials, etc.
I will tell you right now, you may never see another poker room like this. It
really is pretty awesome. I could go into some detail, but I am sure most of
you will get a chance to see it yourselves. If anyone would like to preview
it, stop by and see me. Oh, the TVs, I dont know what they are called, but
they cost $11,500 apiece.
There are 36 poker tables and 19 California Games tables. There is a Sports bar
on the second level that is pretty cool. The food is good, I have sampled just
about everything and I would put it in the "real good" category so far. We
will not be having tournaments, there is just no room. We will be using prop
players, most all have been hired by our Executive Host Robert "chip burner"
Turner. I can't wait to open, if you think we wont have some good Omaha games
going with Robert around, then you dont know Robert.
As far as limits go, we are going to try to spread anything that the players
want. But we will be doing some concentrating on some higher limits. There
will be a $1500 - $3000 stud game going at least 3 nights a week.
I know there is a lot that I have left out, so I hope you can all make it out
to see the place. If any of you have particular questions, please feel free to
ask.
Regards,
Michael O'Malley
