Re: How was the Paula Dean Buffet...
The food at the Grand has always been pretty bad - at least as far as choices. Years ago they had an inexpensive steakhouse/cafe in the back on the second floor that was decent. The decline started when they got rid of it. When it closed all you had was the buffet, cheap deli or expensive steak house. Then they opened Muranos which was OK but at one point the only place you could get breakfast was at the buffet. (I really hate most buffets). They also had a deli at the hotels. Once we couldn't find anything at the few restaurants there and just wanted a small supper. We went to the hotel deli and wanted the soup and a sandwich. They said the soup warmer broke a month ago and was never replaced. The soup stayed on the menu for at least 6 months without ever being available. Maybe Harrahs will finally get it right. I would love to stay there again but Fitz keeps sending me free nites and food coupons and I can't get anything out the the Grand.
