When I reached his table he was engrossed in a conversation with another dealer. I picked up his book of "great" chips. The value of the chips in the book was in the $50,000 to $75,000+ (many $3k to $5k chips) range. To teach him a lessen, I put it on my lap and waited for him to turn around. I asked about crest & seals (what else?). He gave me his c&s book. We must have chatted for 5 minutes before his eyes almost popped out of his head. At that point I handed him his book. Trying to save face he told me there were security cameras so he had nothing to worry about.

Believe me, a professional crook would have a field day at the convention. We've been lucky so far.
