This was a very unfortunate incident and I really feel bad for them, but they just didn't take very good care of their money. It was a crime of opportunity.

If I was a chip dealer I think I would invest a grand in a video surveillance system with a couple cameras and record everything to hard drive. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.

I don't think the club should try to surveil the whole room. To big a job and too expensive for the club. Besides, it they make an effort to protect it they may open the club up to some liability issues should thier protection fail.

On the other hand, I think it might be a good idea for the club to purchase a system that filmed everyone that comes in and goes out of the showroom doors.
