My experience with the Klondike was limited but memorable...I was in Vegas for the NAB Convention in April a few years ago -- I think it was '05, and brought my dad along with me - his first-ever trip to Vegas. My first day there, I got hit with a kidney stone attack. A couple of days later, we went out to take a picture together at the Welcome to Las Vegas sign right by the Klondike. Trying to rid myself of the stone, I was consuming ungodly amounts of water, and needed a pit stop after we visited the sign, so we pulled into the Klondike. While I went into the men's room, my dad sat down and hit big at a slot machine. I think he was pretty happy about my stone at that point.
