The top row of crest & seals has printing on a solid white inlay. The bottom row was made in the same way a cookie cutter punches out the cookie shape. The "holey" inlay is pressed into the clay chip. The letters are, in effect, extruded through the inlay. No printing on the botton row of reverse die cuts.
