Lou, it truly is the squeaky wheel that gets paid when doing a claim with the Post Office. I sent a package with 4 silver strikes in it. A different package arrived at the destination with two strikes in it. My package had gotten ripped open somehow and two were lost. I filed a claim four times and finally the postmaster at my local PO paid me because he was tired of hearing me complain. If $50 or less they can pay you at the local PO. Other wise it is a bunch of paper work and off to Saint Louis, Mo. Look at the money they make in not paying legit claims hoping you will just go away and use them again. I now joke with my PO and ask them why if I am paying XXX for you to deliver my item why should I have to pay you again to insure that you do your job I am already paying you XXX to do. That always gets the fur a flying.
