This is an EXACT piece from the BG Collection. As you can see, the serial number is 00000; the first of run that most all examples in the collection carry. Also, if you look closely... you will notice the piece is drilled (actually 2 drillholes)... as are most all other pieces in the collection from those days past... and those exact pieces that were illustrated elsewhere (by B&G as seen herewith) have been touched up in order to camouflage the pieces for aesthetic purposes.
The logo design was also used in Cannes; Carlton Casino Club, and that design on a high-denomination plaque of 10.000.000F has been well-documented in European publications as well as on the inside cover of an earlier B&G catalog.
I do not know when Ritz Casino name changed to The Ritz Club name and to The Ritz-Carlton chain or Carlton Casino Club name... but they sure had some nice looking plaques....
