The Chip Board Archive 18

Sorry I have been very busy the past few days

and cant provide the thorough answer your email requires.
In brief though, the research and new info discovered which proved categorically that this and several other previously unrecorded chips were counterfeited by Borland, took place after the last issue of TCR10 was printed.
In TCR11, all such chips will get their own clear listings.

"It appears depending on who you ask the Nevada mold may or may not be a Borland fake."
I think you are missing something. Borland counterfeited a genuine chip - therefore some are real and some are fake. I can guarantee the ones I supplied as I have provenance right back to when Borland made them.

On the Diecar error, I think it might be a typo. No catalog can be 100% perfect. When the database becomes 'mine' in a few weeks, I will be able to check the attribution. I will say it is one of only half a dozen similar such queries that need to be looked into. Nothing that questions the integrity of the book, just something that could have occurred when these hundreds of NEVADA & DIECAR entries were put in, and I suspect a couple of incomplete bits of info got to the old authors.

The first two paras are those which your email warrants further explanation on and I will get back on it.
