If I had won an auction where I wasn't specifically offered choice of insurance, I would expect it to be part of the transaction and would want a refund too if the item never came. I didn't totally understand at what point in the storyline the topic of insurance availability came into question.
Please don't get me wrong Rick. I know it sounds like I am defending him but I am not defending either of you. Just giving my opinions as I learn the facts.
(I still stand by my opinions on how I feel about handling a transaction when I'm offered a choice insurance - just doesn't appear to apply in this case since the auction doesn't offer the choice).
Heck, if you can't get satisfaction, maybe you should consider filing a claim with the club on it. At least you will get a ruling on it one way or the other. I really do hope you guys get this resolved without going to such action. That's one benefit of being a part of the club and conducting transactions with other club members. If you feel you were wronged, you do have a way to get your grievance heard.
