Hey Pam. I don't think a lot of $1 chipa were found in the "pit". I have actually found that there is more interest in the $1s AFTER the dig then before. With all the other denominations becoming available at a reasonable price, a lot of collectors want the $1 so that they can put together a complete set. I would say the value of the $1 pretty much retains the same value - around $20 in good condition.
