And I can't believe the outcry when I said I'd Xerox 6 pages if the price went over $50. I wonder if all the collectors who criticised me declare income or capital gains everytime they sell a chip for $0.75 more than they paid for it. That's the value of 6 pages of a a 400 page book selling for $50. Hell, I'd even PayPal one of them a couple bucks for the 6 pages I'd Xerox, noting that they had suffered no loss as there was no additional incremental cost to them, so those few bucks would drop directly to the bottom line.

I can't believe so many highly respected members of the club would go ballistic over less than a buck in value, while at the same time mentioning anecdotes of knowing people who have copied whole publications and taking no other action. It's a sad state of affairs and I don't need it. The hypocrisy reminds me of "Don't Ask - Don't Tell". Why do I get an artillery barrage when the known serious copyright offenders get nothing? Why aren't the police called, lawyers hired, or action taken under the CCGTCC Ethics Code 12 "To abide by all local, state and federal laws and to assist in the prosecution of those who may violate such laws and regulations."? The reason is because Xeroxing, or considering it, is a non-issue.
