If the amount of information you need is small, and it is available in a currently in print publication (something you could actually buy), take the pen or pencil and pad of paper that you didn't steal from your employer, and write down the information you need. IOW, if you don't want to buy the book, do some work yourself.

I fully understand and agree with Jay concerning these matters. According to you, copying 6 pages is okay, but copying the entire book is stealing? At what point does copying become wrong in your judgment? 30 pages? 100 pages? 200 pages? This is a serious question. How is it that stealing just a little isn't really stealing? Please understand my intent is not a personal attack. I'm just trying to figure out the logic behind your reasoning.
