These italian cards you talk, we call them "Napoletane" (they came from Naples), are little different.
We use them for some italian game, like "Scopa", "Scopone" "Briscola" or "Tressette". Someone uses them as divination cards, to predict future.
The deck is composed of 40 cards, 1 to 7 and J Q K of one each of four kinds: Danari, Spade, Bastoni, Coppe. (coins, swords, clubs, cups, translated with poker cards diamonds, spades, clubs and hearts).
The picture has 8,9 and 10's, so i have no idea about them, but i'm pretty sure this is not an Naples deck. The text cards seems to be in German, but i donk really knows.
Ciao.
