Archie, of course I agree with you
In Response To: Price DOES indicate rarity. ()

on the high end but on the low end we see many chips sold way above market value simply because someone wants it. The $2.50 chip in question is a good example. Normally a $2.50 chip like this would not fetch much more than $5-$6 the fact that someone is bidding over $40 doesn't make it rare, just desirable. My comment about "price does not indicate rarity" was for this scenario and not the truly rare and expensive. Did I bail myself out???
