Re: Garage Sale Find vbg Value Needed

I do collect cards... I would say $5-6 would be a fair price to pay for the deck, with the age of the deck, the casino and the style. Since they make hundreds of thousands of decks of cards for most moderate sized casinos; it is hard to find a treasure in playing cards. My advice is to collect casino cards for the design, history or sentimental value, not for a possible sale value.

I find it interesting that you see a lot of movement on ebay on the ugly Paul Son Sand's playing cards or recently closed Stardust cards at a high cost. I have 12 factory sealed decks with a great logo design from a smaller LV area casino, that closed in the mid 80's and reopened again in the late 80's. I have been toying with selling just one deck for years. I will probably get $10 if i'm lucky. However a used deck of ugly Sand's Paul Son cards (millions made) will fetch up to $19 or more sometimes. Supply, Demand and Hype (rat pack, rat pack, rat pack).
