We had encouraging news today. They believe what I have is treatable. The scans show it hasn't hardly spread and is confined to the esophagus and a few lymph nodes surrounding the area. I'm not out of the woods yet by any means, but my chances are good enough that it's worth giving it a shot. They are fast tracking this thing and all the pieces are falling into place rather nicely. For example, the radiation oncologist stayed late tonight just to get the ball rolling.

So, at least we now have a plan of attack. Knowing something is so much better than knowing nothing.
