Steve is the one that was mugged. I think it presumptious for you to tell him that you know why he was attacked.

If Steve says he was attacked because he is white, I will assume that he might know just a bit more about the incident than you or anyone else on this board.

From Steve's post it appears that he may have been mugged more than once. I would hope that I wouldn't feel the way Steve feels about race, but, thank God, I've never been in his position.
