You guys need someone to bring you back to getting the respect in the world that you have lost the past few years courtesy of George Bush

You just made my point. We, as a country, should not give a rats behind about whether or not we are rspected by the rest of the world. YOU can worry about whether or not we have earned your respect. We (read here our President) need to worry about keeping our country safe. I am no huge fan of GWB, but I am an American, and a life long NY'er who lost friends on September 11. The reality: We got attacked, and we have not been attacked since. And I know who gets the credit for that, and it is not Barack Obama, or Nancy Pelosi my friend from the north. All the Democrats who got swept into office the last election cycle ran on a "lets get out of Iraq now!" platform. You know what those newly elected Democrats just did? They overwhelmingly just funded the war in Iraq to the completion of GWB's term.

Quite frankly Rick, as a Canadian, I don't care what your opinion of our politics is. When you move here, and are welcomed as a citizen of this country, your opinion will count for something. Then maybe you won't worry about what the Canadians think.
