The old Apache Hotel is still in use today as part of the Horseshoe. Just ask to stay there when you go...the rooms have been updated....and it has the oldest elevator in Nevada still in operation. We stayed there a few years back and one morning I saw Bennie Binion walking down the hallway....as we passed I said "good morning" and he replied....wish I has asked for an autograph...These are lots of "little secrets" still around downtown, just have to look for them...
