A few days ago, a lady posted here offering some $5 El Rancho Vegas large crown chips for sale. We've e-mailed back and forth a few times and here is what I've learned so far:

They appear to be N1562, rated "W" in the last TCR. 8th Issue and R-6 according to 3rd Edition of Campiglia's book. She says that she has "100+ chips" and sent me the photos below. She says they are not warped and were not in the fire. I inquired about the shiny surface and she said she had oiled the chips she photographed with mineral oil to make them show in the photo better. You may notice that one of the chips looks like it is melted or distorted on one edge. I haven't seen any of the chips myself, so I don't know whether it is or not.

I've asked how she came to own them and will report back if she answers.

Has a find of these already been reported and I missed it?
