...but it bothers me that it says it's an original and the high bid is only $199 with 8 hours to go. Although I've never heard of the artist, I would expect an original like this to go for $4,000 or more. The seller is brand spanking new, which would give me pause about bidding.

It would be downright depressing to spend hundreds of hours creating a work like this and have it sell for a couple hundred bucks. My suspicion is that this is actually a giclee print on canvas, which allows the artist to sell an unlimited number of "originals". This would explain why the seller has 30 paintings by the same artist all listed for starting bids of $199.
