just the the other night. I sincerely doubt if it was even filmed in Las Vegas, and it was truly awful. I would suspect that the movie took the names of real locations and called them "Clubs" for the movie. The Apache's signage, throughout it's history, included Apache Bar, Apache Hotel, Apache Cafe, and Apache Casino. There was never an "Apache Club", to my knowledge, in the building. In fact, the size of the bottom floor was so small until Binion's expanded to cover the whole block, there wasn't enough room for a club unless they eliminated the bar, cafe, hotel lobby, and casino, which would I doubt would never have occured to them.
Early on, even the subsequent casino entrance was rented out to a jewelry store, as the initial draw wasn't gambling, but rather as a hotel for tourists visiting the Boulder Dam. All of the advertising literature called it the "Gateway to Boulder Dam", and its brochures didn't even mention gambling. It's biggest "sell" was that it had an elevator, air-conditioning, and all the rooms had private baths.
