Royal Caribbean bought Admiral Cruises in 1987 and the Empress was still under construction at that time. The name was to be Future Seas but when Royal Caribbean took delivery of the ship it was renamed Nordic Empress.

All Admiral chips I have seen show the ship name on them. I have only seen hot stamped chips and BJ CIC chips no Chipco type chips and as the sale went through in 1987 I doubt they would have used Chipco type chips.

All early Royal Caribbean chips feature the crown and anchor logo and the ship name. Many did feature the casino royale name as well. The first Chipco chips for Royal Caribbean I believe were the second issue of the Song of Norway.

I think I have seen those chips being listed as Russian but I am not sure.
