Case 1 - we have the chip in our collection. Should value be what we think we paid for it, or what we think it is "WORTH"? Obviously if we got it at face value - we think it is worth more than that But I'm talking about the case where we paid say $20 for it and maybe we think it is worth $50 now.
Case 2 - we don't have the chip in our collection. Should Value be what we would pay for the chip, or what we think it is WORTH? I can think of a couple obsolete $1 Aruba chips that I need. I might say they have a $20-$30 value, but if one came along, I probably would spend more than $20 to get it.
In both cases, these could be quite different numbers - especially on older obsolete chips.
We have all over paid and gotten bargains on chips, so they could be 2 different numbers.
On the surface, I would think any current chip from any caribbean casino has a value something like this:
$1 ($3 - $5)
$5 ($8 - $10)
