Hey Gene,

I wasted 45 minutes trying to find 777 N. Hawthorne Blvd.
The City of Hawthorne ends at ~ 11039 Hawthorne where the city of Lennox starts.
Furthermore, Hawthorne Blvd turns into La Brea on the north side of Century Blvd. (this is the 10000 block)
Note: this is where the City of Inglewood also starts...

I also tried looking at the MAP under Yahoo!, and the location that they returned is ~ 1 block east of Hawthorne Blvd (yet the address was at 13220 Hawthorne Blvd not 777...) - and is a residential area...

Hummm...

The city boundaries and street names may have changed since 1936 - yet that would require more digging to determine... Or if Yahoo is correct, then that must have been one heck of a home game!!! <VBG>
